WEBINAR Sep 29th: Intellectual Property Overview and Best Practices

The American Invents Act (AIA) was signed into law by President Obama in 2013 and signaled the biggest change for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in more than sixty years.  Seven years later, we explore some of the impacts that the AIA has had on how companies, entrepreneurs, and inventors protect and use their intellectual property (IP).  Please join our presenters from Porter Hedges LLP for an overview of four primary types of IP that can be legally protected: patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.  They will discuss how to identify and protect your own IP, what to do if someone else is using your IP, and what steps to take if confronted with the IP of others.
